Our Love Story

Our journey began on the digital realm of an online dating platform where our paths converged in a serendipitous encounter. Through exchanged messages and shared interests, our connection deepened, transcending virtual barriers. As our bond blossomed, we embarked on countless adventures, creating cherished memories together. Now, as we stand on the precipice of forever, our love story continues to unfold, culminating in a joyous celebration of unity as we eagerly anticipate the next chapter of our lives together.

We met each other exactly 6 days after we exchanged our first messages and we’re getting married 3 years and a day after that first meet! (15th August 2021 – 16th August 2024) Sounds like it was meant to be…

Saturday 26th February 2022 – Ish met Shewa’s family after making it official on Monday 14th February 2022 (Yes, Valentine’s Day, so cliché … & yes Ladies, I waited 6 months before we became official…)

Ish proposed to Shewa a couple of days before her birthday where he invited the couple’s nearest and dearest family and friends to a private screening. Ish showed a film highlighting the couple’s love story so far and then got on one knee to ask Shewa to be his wife. In a burst of utter excitement and surprise, Shewa ran to Ish, got on her knees, hugged him all whilst screaming yes, before proceeding to jump manically. What we’re trying to say is that, it was a great day and we will relive that moment everyday for eternity.

Dress Code

It is our heart desire to have ALL our guests in Aso-Ebi. Aso-Ebi which translates to ‘Family Cloth’ is an indicator of cooperation, camaraderie and solidairty during ceremonies. You are a part of our love story and family, and for that reason, we want to be uniformed with you on our special day.

The Aso-Ebi deadline has now passed. Please contact the Bride & Groom for further information regarding Aso-Ebi.

What is the parking situation?

There is free and ample parking at the wedding venue. There will be parking attendants to assist you on the day.

Can I bring kids?

While we appreciate your interest in including your children, we have decided to keep our wedding an adult-only event, unless specific and special arrangements have been made with you directly. We hope you understand and can still celebrate with us.

Can I bring a plus one?

We appreciate your understanding that due to the intimate nature of our wedding; we cannot accommodate any plus ones that have not been discussed and confirmed with us, the couple, or our parents. Thank you for respecting our wishes and appreciating the planning and thoughts that has gone into make our wedding special for everyone involved, whilst also respecting our desire to adhere to the Word of God concerning our wedding.

May we take pictures and videos with our phones and cameras?

Yes, of course, please do share them with us afterwards.
