On December 6, 2019 the couple met for the first time at Apotheke. From the time Tassica walked into the bar, John was greeted by her electric smile and vibrant energy that immediately felt like home. The couple remembers discussing everything from seven kids, to a desire to travel the world, and most importantly building a life long legacy. Tassica agreed to continue the date that evening at Nom Wah Tea Parlor where she had her first soup dumpling followed by a midnight walk along the East River! Then, John and Tassica listened to his extensive Spotify playlist and talked till the wee hours of the morning. According to John, he went into the office the next morning and told his closest co-workers he was $#%&! She was THE ONE! From Tassica’s point of view, John was everything she wanted on paper: he was Caribbean, bald with a beard and very well spoken! After a few drinks and dumplings he definitely already felt like her boyfriend in her mind. Although she didn’t confirm relationship status until February 29, 2020, those that know Tassica would confirm that she fell in love that night!
